FCC Post-Filing Announcements

Make your Post-Filing Announcements on the 1^st and 16^th of October, and the 1^st and 16^th of November, and December. 

Although the Commission has recently changed the Post-Filing announcement script and online posting and publication requirements, those changes had not yet become effective. FCC staff has advised that until that happens, licensees are to follow the existing rules. 

POST-FILING ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The Commission requires that six post-filing announcements be broadcast. Below is a form to certify the broadcast of the your announcements.

Your announcements should be made once daily on October 1, October 16, November 1, November 16, December 1 and December 16, 2020. Three of the required announcements should be broadcast between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and/or 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. One announcement should be broadcast between 9:00 a.m. and noon, one between noon and 4:00 p.m. and the final one between 7:00 p.m. and midnight. If for any reason the station does not broadcast during any of these periods, then the applicable announcement should be broadcast during the first two hours of operation. Once all post-filing announcements have run, you are required to insert a record of the dates, times and text into your public file. A form of certification for this purpose is below.

If you also have an FM translator that is being renewed, you must also publish the text of the Post-Filing Announcement at least once immediately after the filing of the license renewal application. The notice should be published in a daily, weekly, or biweekly newspaper of general circulation in the community or area served. If there is no newspaper, you should post the required notice in a public place and keep a copy of the local public notice for reference.
