Help the MBA Celebrate Missouri Radio Day on Thursday, September 17th, 2020, and preserve radio history!
The Library of Congress Radio Preservation Task Force has asked the Missouri Broadcasters Association to help create a Missouri Radio Air Check Repository.
Radio Archives
The MBA is taking part in a pilot project for the Radio Preservation Task Force, which has been tasked by the Library of Congress, to assemble a national radio air check database.
Why is it important that YOU take part?
The MBA office is gathering local recordings from our members to turn over to the State Historical Society.
Please send us jingle packages, news stories and programs, historical broadcasts, local programming and commercials. Due to licensing, we are not collecting major league sporting events or play-by-play.
All air checks must be digitized before we submit them to the State Historical Society. If your station can’t do this, the MBA will take care of it for you.

NOW YOU CAN HEAR MISSOURI RADIO’S HISTORY
(Jefferson City)—They were the voices in the morning who told us the overnight news, the morning weather, and the sports scores.
