Job Summary/Responsibilities:
The dominant #1 NBC affiliate in Quincy, Illinois, has an immediate opening for a News Producer to produce our #1 newscasts and provide content to our digital platforms.
Your focus will be on producing real-time content for TV, Radio, Social Media, and digital platforms.
You’ll be coached and challenged every day to achieve your full potential while working in a brand-new digital newsroom.
Please note – the primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed above
Qualifications/Requirements:
– Four-year college degree preferred with significant news gathering, writing, and producing experience.
– Strong writing skills are critical.
– Clear understanding of the principles of broadcast journalism.
– Ability to demonstrate personal characteristics such as professionalism, persuasiveness, and aggressiveness which are necessary for effective news writing.
– Prior experience using news computer software programs is preferred.
