Overview:
KMOX, The Voice of St. Louis, has an immediate opening for a full time News Anchor.
This person will bring credibility and trustworthiness to the delivery of our multi-award winning news content. Apply if you want to break big stories, ask tough questions and hold people accountable.
What You’ll Do:
– Gather information and conduct interviews, then, take complex information and turn it into easy to understand copy under deadline
– Anchors produce their own newscast, edit stories from staff and deliver the news live
– You will operate a wide range of technical equipment including running an audio board and digital recording and playback
– Each anchor is responsible for writing and producing news stories both on air and online
Required & Preferred:
– 2+ years of experience in a newsroom
– Conversational, engaging delivery with or without a script while meeting tight deadlines
– Ability to interpret and simplify complex copy
– Comfort with audio editing
– Ability to write, post and share content digitally
– Membership in SAG-AFTRA
– A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
– Other duties as required by Management
