WGEM-TV, the dominant NBC affiliate in Quincy, Illinois, and winner of the 2021 Best Newscast in Missouri and Iowa, has an opportunity for an On-Air Multimedia Journalist.
You’ll be coached and challenged every day to achieve your full potential, while working in a brand new digital newsroom.

You will shoot, write and edit content for our digital and broadcast platforms. During newscasts, you will be teamed with a photojournalist for active LIVE storytelling.

WGEM News is a recipient of multiple regional Emmys® and regional and national Edward R. Murrow Awards. The newsroom has also been recognized for journalistic excellence time and again by broadcasting organizations in Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa.

Experience:
Applicants must have a degree in journalism and on air television experience.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have proven skills to develop sources, work a beat and own the lead story every day.

This position requires on-camera reporting, anchoring, photojournalism and non-linear editing skills.
