Job Description:
Manage all business and fiscal operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll & General Ledger for KOMU-TV.

Coordinate and direct the preparation of the yearly budget and financial forecasts and report variances.

Preparation of monthly financials statement in an accurate & timely manner.

Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

Prepare and reconcile balance sheet account workpapers on a monthly basis.

Work closely with the General Manager and Department Heads to help manage their operating budget.

Prepare year-end closing and reconciliation to University of Missouri financial reports.

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Forecasting and preparation of accurate projections used in financial decision making.

Participate in community service organizations on a yearly basis.

Manage one full-time and one part-time employee.

Salary Range: $48,900 – $65,000 based on experience

Additional hours may be needed from time to time to attend community functions on KOMU’s behalf.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting or 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong numerical proficiency, organization, good problem solving skills, excellent leadership skills, and attention to detail is important. Knowledge of quickbooks and excel preferred.
Knowledge of both cash based accounting and accrual based accounting helpful.
